Health & Social Care BTEC Level 2 First Extended Certificate

Equivalent to 3 GCSEs
This one year, full-time course gives students the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of Health & Social Care as well as giving a more in-depth understanding of specific specialist areas. The course also encourages students to gain and broaden their personal skill set and knowledge in order to be successful in working life. This course can be taken alongside English Language or Maths GCSE retakes.

The course is assessed through at least 60% coursework and two external examinations. You will have two opportunities to sit the exam.
Successful completion offers students several routes for progression: direct entry into employment, further learning opportunities within employment, progression to BTEC Level 3 Ext Diploma in Health & Social Care or industry related apprenticeships.
