Equivalent to 3 A levels.
The 180-credit BTEC Extended Diploma extends and deepens the specialist workrelated focus. The four core units provide students with an introduction to and understanding of the business environment, management of resources, marketing and communication – all fundamental to the success of business organisations. Fourteen further units give students a deeper look into more specific areas in business. The specification also addresses sector needs and skills gaps in areas such as finance, administration and management. Students complete work experience as part of the course, preparing them for future employment.
This course can be taken alongside Football Academy.

With this qualification, students will be able to progress to degree courses such as Business Studies, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Business Combined, Business IT, Business and MIS Systems and other related degrees. Alternatively, students can go into employment in a business related area, such as retail, administration, accounts and supervisory roles. The Diploma will earn you UCAS points in the same way as A levels.
