Art & Design UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma

Equivalent to 3 A levels.

This course is for those who have a strong interest in the visual arts. It provides an exciting opportunity to explore architecture, fashion, photography, graphics, product and interior design, textiles, fine art, animation, and to develop and test your creativity within a qualification structure that is stimulating and challenging. SFX is an approved centre for the University of the Arts London Awarding Body, which enables SFX to offer our students opportunities for widening participation schemes, specialist summer schools and a supportive transition to higher education, including London College of Fashion.

Course Assessment

Assessment is through practical work, creative journals and presentations. This will form a portfolio through which students can demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained on the course.

This Course Can Lead To…

This course provides young people with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to degree level study in Art and Design, into further education and training or into employment. Students typically specialise in architecture, fashion, photography, graphics, product and interior design, textiles, fine art and animation. Students apply for a range of higher education courses. The final unit of the qualification is available at Level 4 to support progression to higher education. Some learners may choose to progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design.
